Stephen Farmer has directed the selection and recruitment of the
undergraduate student body since September 2004. In addition to leading
the efforts of fifty-three full- or part-time staff members, Farmer
speaks widely on admissions- and enrollment- related issues across
North Carolina and nationwide.
Before coming to Carolina as Senior Associate Director of Admissions
in 2000, Farmer worked in admissions and taught composition at the
University of Virginia.
Born and raised in rural Virginia, Farmer holds an M.A. degree in
English from the University of Virginia and an A.B. degree in English
from Duke University.
